Ladies and Gentlemen,
The idea of the Austrian Sailing Federation, to draw together all the state championships of all Olympic sailing classes to one date and to put a great emphasis onto a certain area of high-end-athletics, has swiftly fascinated us.
In accordance with the fact of many variable boat classes and the predicted number of participants, we have found at Lake “Attersee”, that such an event is only possible when organised as a team.
After a brief time period it became apparent, that namely the befriended clubs at the Lake “Attersee”, the “Sailing Club Kammersee” and the “Union-Yacht-Club Attersee” are willing and able to accept this challenge jointly.
Early in the initial discussions the true dimensions and prime values, exceeding sole matters of high-performance sports greatly, became clear.
The event, to which more than 500 sailors are awaited, will turn out to be of great importance for the region “Attersee” in a social and medial aspect, as well as being a tourism benefit.
We are preparing for the takeover, quite in the middle of the pre-needed arrangements and full of expectation until the execution of this event of great proportions. As experienced clubs in the organisation of important sailing events, we consider this job a challenging task, which we will master excellently.
We are looking forward to great athletic performance and a nice mutual time, throughout which we also will consciously include our wonderful Austrian landscape.
